How does Shamusic protect my music?
Each work you upload is assigned a unique hash with blockchain technology that proves its authorship and date of creation. This information cannot be modified, which guarantees protection against possible plagiarism.
Can I register co-authored music?
Yes, Shamusic allows you to clearly establish the percentages of authorship and royalties from the beginning, avoiding future conflicts.
Is the Shamusic certificate legally valid?
Yes, the certificate has legal value by proving the anteriority and authorship of your work thanks to the traceability of the blockchain. Although it does not replace the registration in the SGAE or other entities, it complements and reinforces your legal protection.
Can I modify my work once it has been registered in Shamusic?
No, for security and traceability, each record generates a unique and immutable hash. If you make a modification, you can upload a new version indicating that it is an “adaptation or arrangement”, and with a title that links it to the original work.
Can I use Shamusic if I have already registered the song with SGAE?
Yes, perfectly. Shamusic complements the traditional registration by offering an additional digital proof.
What happens if someone registers a work very similar to mine after me?
By having your song pre-registered and with its blockchain hash, you have priority rights over any subsequent similar work, as long as you can prove your creative authorship. If you have problems you can always write us at info@shamusic.es
What happens if I upload a beat purchased online, can I register it?
You can only upload and register works of your own authorship or of which you own the rights.
Is it necessary to upload the complete song file or can it be a demo?
You can upload from a demo, through a lyric, score or melody, to the final version of a song. The important thing is that the creation is original and yours.
How can I prove that a song registered on Shamusic is mine outside the platform?
Each certificate includes a verifiable link, a unique hash and a timestamp. You can present it in any legal context, contract or negotiation to prove your authorship in a technical and objective way.
