From Madrid to my first EP: the journey of discovering my voice
Pablo was born in Madrid on June 18, 2003. He is the eldest of five siblings, and during his childhood music did not play a major role in his life.
However, as often happens, what is important did not start out being obvious. In the car rides with his father, between songs chosen without much pedagogical intention, something was sown. It was not passion yet, but a sensibility that would later find its moment.
The unexpected trigger
Adolescence was the turning point. There was no grand plan or epic revelation: all it took was a guitar and a challenge between friends to see who could learn a song first.
That little game awakened something deeper. Pablo began to sing, although he did it secretly, as if he was not yet ready for it to be part of his public identity.
The change came almost by accident. A voice note sent to a cousin. An unexpectedly excited reaction.
And then, a new idea:
maybe what I was doing in private could be of value to others.
The vertigo of exposure
Taking the step to sing in public was neither immediate nor easy. Stepping out of the established implies exposing oneself, and that always brings with it judgment: looks, comments, doubts.
But in that balance between criticism and support, positive messages began to make their way through. Little by little, Pablo stopped hiding. Not because the fear disappeared, but because it no longer carried so much weight.
Writing to understand what cannot be said
In 2023, his relationship with music took a deeper turn: he started composing.
It was not a strategic decision or a planned goal. It was, rather, a necessity. There were emotions and thoughts that could not find an outlet in everyday life.
Influenced by what other artists were able to awaken in him, Pablo began to write. And in this process, also driven by his environment, a new search appeared:
not only to sing, but to find his own voice.
With the first songs came a new concern: to record them with quality.
The economic barrier of professional studies forced him to look for another path. And he found it in his own room.
There began a less visible but equally important stage: that of self-taught learning. Hours of videos, constant testing, repeated mistakes. Progressive investment in equipment.
The first recordings were not up to par. In fact, they were far from what I imagined. But that’s where the breakthrough came: in the insistence.
Over time, that initial sound evolved into something worthy, something to be proud of. Something to be proud of.
In the process, Pablo discovered something key: production is not an add-on, it is an essential part of the emotion.
A song can change completely depending on how it is constructed, how it sounds, how it breathes.
And there he found another passion within music: that of giving form to ideas, not just creating them.
The leap: from one quarter to 60,000 people
Pablo is currently finishing the production of his first EP, due in early summer.
But this project does not come out of the blue. It comes preceded by a moment that marks a before and after:
winning in 2023 the competition “Music and Faith” of the ACDP.
That achievement took him to a difficult scenario to imagine: singing a song of his own in the Plaza de Cibeles in front of 60,000 people.
An almost symbolic contrast: from the room where he learned in silence to a space shared with thousands of people.
In parallel to his personal project, Pablo is developing Baruc 5, a Christian music proposal.
Unlike his more intimate work, this project seeks to be a more universal channel, a space where music accompanies prayer and reflection.
It is no less personal, but it is oriented towards something more collective.
A journey that has just begun
Despite all that he has experienced, Pablo still feels he is at an early stage. Aware of what he has yet to learn, but also of what he has built.
Music, which began almost as background noise, has become a way of understanding the world and communicating with it.
And the most interesting thing is not what he has already done, but all that is yet to be discovered.
